Greetings! My husband and I own an 1892 cottage along Pennsylvania Avenue. I grew up nearby and was ecstatic when the opportunity arose to purchase a Mount Gretna home.

About a year ago, I decided it was time to get more involved. I began observing, looking for that sweet spot where my skills and what is needed might converge. The idea of a magazine was born from that listening.

A writer and spiritual director by training, I am curious and seek to listen objectively. I am also drawn to the intersection of form and function. Whether home and garden design, organizational structure, or magazine layouts, I like to examine what is and see how to make it work more beautifully and effectively.

My 30+ years of nonprofit experience include leading a national organization. I’ve also worked as librarian, camp director, youth director, conference planner, and leader on multiple community boards.

Twenty years ago, I co-authored a local history book and soon will begin work on another. I’ve been integral to the design and upkeep of multiple websites and social media pages.

Mount Gretna Magazine is the third publication I have coordinated. I recently joked to someone that magazines just might be my love language. They employ my interests in writing, photography, and design while lifting up community in such a meaningful and appealing way.

I look forward to connecting with all of you as this magazine grows and our stories intertwine.
