Looking for an over-the-top afternoon to brighten the tail end of winter? We’ve got you covered with this Chopped-inspired cooking competition. Tickets include admission and festive refreshments. Bring extra cash for drink purchases and audience voting. All proceeds benefit Mount Gretna Magazine.


Who’s who at the event:

  • Our intrepid chefs (pictured above, left to right): Nate Godfrey, Shelby Larkin, and Alex Kinzey — each leading a team in pursuit of the Great Gretna Plate. They’ll be joined by sous chefs Joe Lento (Nate), Grant Williams (Shelby), and Jeff Spangler (Alex).

  • Our host and emcee: Chef Guido Michael and Janice Balmer, guiding the afternoon’s culinary showdown.

  • Our stellar judges: Kerry Royer (Mayor of Mount Gretna), Nicole Borrell (Lebanon Valley Food Critics), Karen Hendricks (host of WITF’s Morning Edition), and Michael Vyskocil (former editor and contributor to multiple cooking magazines). Karen and Michael also serve as a writer and assistant editor of Mount Gretna Magazine, respectively.

  • Tiebreaker judge: Steve Toler (Advisory Team member), ready to step in if the competition comes down to the wire.
